Finished: Savannah’s Nursery and Brooklyn’s Big Girl Room!

Savannah, you are now allowed to come anytime you please. Your room is finished. Your big sister’s room is finished! The car seat is washed, and the bases are installed in our cars. All of your clothes are put away in your dresser and closet. The house has been partially cleaned, thanks to one of Mommy’s very best friends, Mollie. (That’s the definition of a good friend: one who ASKS to drive over an hour to your house on her day off to help you clean. Thank you again, Mollie!! You were such a big help!!).

There are still a few things I’d like to get done over the next few days, but if they didn’t get done, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. So, Savannah, just come on already! The days are ticking away, and May 5th will be here soon. I’d love it if you’d decide you were ready before then ;)

Without further ado, here are some pictures of the girls’ rooms. I’m so excited to be able to say they are completely finished!! Thank you, Travis, for hanging pictures like a mad man over the past week so that we could get to this point :)

So, here is Savannah’s nursery:

I love how well the colors of her initials ended up matching the crib bedding! :)

All of the furniture is in the same spot as it was when this was Brooklyn’s room. So, this is the same Cubeical…just with red canvas bins :)

Found this wall art at Hobby Lobby and loved it!

I’m also excited about how these canvases turned out!

Other side of the window…LOVE how the dresser turned out :) The knobs were super cheap at Home Depot, and I just painted them to match the room. Savannah’s hair bow holder is also hanging above the dresser…

The door hanger that Laura made is perfect for her door!

I found that little mirror at Hobby Lobby on clearance, and I thought it would be fun to mount it low enough where Savannah can look at herself when she gets big enough :)

Freshly repainted closet – hooray!

And, here is Big Sister Brooklyn’s room…

_DSC6696

The bench at her desk doubles as a step stool to help her climb into bed…thanks for that idea, Mom! ;)

The fabric bins that we used in the Cubeical when it was Brooklyn’s nursery fit great on this bookshelf! They are holding some of her small toys :)

Behind the door to her room, we hung her hair bow holder and a magnetic white board that Cici got for her. Right now, it’s holding some of her magnets that were on our fridge :)

It was hard to get a good picture of her closet, so this is the best I could do. It has a lot more room for clothes, which is a good thing in case the girls end up sharing this room one day…

And, here is Miss B showing off her big girl bed! ;)

So, there you have it! :) I am SO glad to have both of their rooms finished. Now, I finally feel like Savannah can come whenever she is ready :) Here’s to hoping she will be ready soon!!
