We had Savannah’s 6 month pictures with Carla on Halloween before we drove down to Trussville for a fun night of trick-or-treating. We actually had our stuff packed and left straight from taking the pictures in Athens and headed south. Our original plan was to meet Carla at Athens State and take pictures around the campus, then it changed to meeting downtown at her studio, and finally we ended up at Isom’s Orchard. I had told Carla that I really wanted to get some good “fallish” pictures, and so we were in search of the perfect scenery! Isom’s definitely did not disappoint. The fruit trees had the prettiest golden yellow leaves!
I am so happy with the way the pictures turned out. Not only was the setting beautiful, but Carla somehow managed to get some decent pictures despite the fact that Savannah spit up all over herself at least 5 or 6 times AND Brooklyn wasn’t acting like the most cooperative toddler ever ;) Is there a such thing as a cooperative toddler when it’s picture time? Doubtful! I was worried that none of our family pictures would turn out, but I should have known better. Carla just has the touch when it comes to getting those good shots! :)
Carla got some pictures of Brooklyn by herself while I was feeding Savannah in the car. I loved this one!
Brooklyn was just spinning around and being her usual silly self :)
She’s looking so big!
One of my favorite family shots…
This one is my definite favorite though! I have no idea how she caught those smiles from both girls at the same time!
Oh yeah…the reason we were there. Pictures of Little Sis!
That smile!
It just lights up her whole face. Love it! I was so worried because she’d only had about one 30 minute nap all morning, but she gave us plenty of great smiles. Such a sweet girl!
The day before we took these pictures, she’d just started to really sit up on her own for more than a second or two at a time. Worked out well!
I like this one too, except for how awkward Brooklyn looks being held like that. It’s not Travis’s fault though…she did NOT want to be held at this point and was feeling totally non-cooperative. It was pretty much a death grip or she would wiggle away ;)
She didn’t really feel like taking any pictures with Savannah either, but Carla got this one at least. Brooklyn loves to do “tummy time” with her sister!
Kisses!
This was THE smile I was hoping Carla would capture. Swoon!
I can’t wait to get some of these printed out. I’m envisioning a big canvas with one of those family pictures hanging above our mantel in the near future ;)
One thing’s for sure though..if the next 6 months fly by as fast as these first 6 months have, Savannah’s cake smash/1 year pictures will be here before I know it!
