Kids’ Artwork: Last Half of 2024

The girls enjoy drawing, and we just don’t have room to save it all. I like to take pictures of some of my favorites, so that we can at least go back and remember what their artwork looked like. Here is some of their art from July through December of 2024:

Brooklyn:

Brooklyn drew this for the Reflections art contest at school. The theme was “Accepting Imperfection” :)

I loved this picture of Abigail!

This was a group project in AVID where they were supposed to draw their “dream island”…

Brooklyn joined art club at the middle school this year, which met after school a couple of times per month. She made this cool spider web at one of the meetings!

Cute pumpkin made out of Perler beads :)

Pretty butterfly!

Brooklyn drew this basketball picture for Travis…she likes to give him a hard time, so if you look closely, you’ll notice the team name on the jersey is “Stinkers” :)

I thought this was creative – Brooklyn cut up some old bead necklaces and spelled the word “hola” with them :)

Sunrise that Brooklyn made at F.C. camp…

Portraits of Mom and Dad…haha. Not sure why she made me “part cat”, but I got a kick out of Travis’s shirt ;)

Inspirational quotes!

Cute narwhal

Savannah:

Super cute desserts!

A couple of soccer pictures – Savannah drew the first one for the Reflections contest :)

Travis and I both received “Happy Summer” pictures :)

Loved this drawing of Chicago based on our trip last summer!

Alabama vs. Auburn!

Christmas art

Abigail:

Dolphins are one of Abigail’s favorite animals…

Abigail drew both of these pictures for the Reflections art contest about “accepting imperfection.” (We could only submit one.) The first picture is of someone getting a C on a test, and the second picture is a drawing of the time that Travis made mashed potatoes but forgot to add the butter, salt, and pepper…haha!

She drew several nature pictures…

Lots of animals! I especially loved the unicorns and the giraffe with the especially long neck.

She drew several different pictures of people…

…including a portrait of our family!

Bluey and Bingo (from the TV show)

Elsa!

I liked these cherries that she drew :)

Pretty princess :)

Lots of houses, including Abigail’s dream house with a big garden

Abigail drew a picture of Paw with his “Captain Paw” hat on :)

Big slides!

4th of July fireworks

This isn’t really artwork, but Abigail wanted to play school with me because normally when she plays school with her sisters, they are the teacher, and she is the student. She loved being my teacher and even sent a note home…haha.

Elf in bed

I’ve been a parent long enough now to know that this stage of my child drawing lots of artwork for me won’t last forever. It’s a special time! :)

I loved her spelling of “computer” :)

Holiday themed art, including a tree with things she’s thankful for (food friends, grass, Alabama, the pool) :)

This last picture of a chocolate chip cookie makes me hungry!
