Here we go with some of my favorite artwork that Brooklyn and Savannah did over the first half of this year!
Brooklyn:
Clubhouse with a swimming pool
Valentine’s Day card that Brooklyn made for us
Inside of the card – I liked how we each got our own side ;)
Brooklyn colored this cat coloring sheet to look like our cat, Gabby. (Her nickname is Woo Woo…haha). What amazed me about this picture is that Brooklyn’s handwriting at the top looks JUST like mine. I look at it, and it really looks like I wrote it. Something about the way she wrote her lowercase “r” and “n”. Crazy!
Brooklyn drew her own computer with keyboard.
Moana and Maui
“Things about Brooklyn”
I liked the cotton ball clouds on this one…
A TV with Disney and PBS Kids shows on it ;)
Diagram of Brooklyn wearing a diaper? Haha!
Our family
Brooklyn made me a scavenger hunt. This clue said, “In the morning, look in the tub.” MG stood for “Mommy Grant” :)
Another clue said, “Check in my tub.” It was a gift card for kisses. So sweet!
Brooklyn drew a map from our house to Publix. I think she was plotting a way for Carter, Savannah, and her to walk to Publix by themselves and buy a toy…haha
“You’re music to my ears, Savannah” :)
Another sweet note for Savannah…
“Love the Lord our God” – this was when Brooklyn was trying to practice cursive even though she hasn’t learned cursive yet…haha
A note from Brooklyn to her “kind famliey” :)
Brooklyn did lots of directed drawing videos during the first months of pandemic life at home. This one was an elephant.
And here was her pigeon…
Brooklyn told me this was a “garden car” with trees and flowers growing out of it.
Donuts, flowers, and lots of color – this picture sums up Brooklyn’s personality pretty well :)
Brooklyn drew some of these next pictures in Bible class. This one was David as a shepherd boy.
David and Bathsheba
David and Jonathan
Mary and Martha
Sea creatures :)
Another family picture :)
Another TV…can you tell what Brooklyn loves to do? If we let her, she would watch TV alllll day.
Loved this lion!
Here is Scar on the top of Pride Rock…
A happy unicorn
A school art project we did at home during e-learning…learning about drawing lines to add texture
Sun, moon, and earth…
A spooky haunted house!
I think this is my favorite directed drawing that she’s done…a corgi!
A poem about Mommy ;)
Simba and Mufasa
So many lions! :)
A drawing of Glowy and Spots (two stuffed animals that belong to Brooklyn and Savannah). I’m pretty sure the writing at the bottom says “magic”.
A purple person :)
Savannah:
A painting of Brooklyn and Savannah. This is the classic way Savannah used to draw people…like orange rectangles.
A rainbow
Owlette (from the kids’ show PJ Masks)
This was a frog that Savannah drew for me :)
Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy
Gekko (from PJ Masks)
A flower and a heart
Cat Boy!
Loved this lion that Savannah drew…
I think this is a turtle?
Happy octopus…
And more sea creatures too!
I liked this train that she drew…
Heart balloons :)
Savannah told me what to write on this one…
Tiger!
Rainbow tiger…very colorful!
Savannah drew this table and then put stickers on it.
Colorful unicorn :)
A cat in the grass
“My horse”
Black cat on top of a pumpkin?
Brooklyn loves lions, so naturally Savannah has learned to draw them too!
And I saved the best for last…I loved this tree with blond hair!! :)
One reply on “Kids’ Artwork: First Half of 2020”
You’re right about Brooklyn’s writing! The word “Grant” looks EXACTLY like you wrote it. I love all the artwork!!
