Well, we’re halfway through another week…and already halfway through July! Last weekend was a blast! We actually stayed in town (seems like we’re always traveling on the weekends!), and Friday night was the ice cream social I’d been planning for a while. Somehow we squeezed 10 people in our living room, and we all sat around eating ice cream, talking, and playing Catch Phrase. It was a lot of fun mixing friends from here and from Tuscaloosa and having everyone get to know each other. Saturday, we went to a wedding and then watched Avatar that night. Andrew came over, and we ate MORE ice cream…haha…and watched the movie. It was definitely a different kind of movie, but I liked it overall. Sunday, we went to church, ate lunch with Baugay, and then had supper at the Smiths’ with Brett, Sarabeth, and a new friend, Shannon, who visited Kelly Spring for the first time Sunday. It was a lot of fun!
This week, I worked Monday, and I work tomorrow from 10 AM to 4 PM and Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. Travis’s off day is this Friday, so he’s looking forward to that. He’s been working hard on a paper this week at work, so I know he’ll be glad to have a 3 day weekend!
We actually have the next few weekends relatively free of anything big to do, so I’m really excited about that. This weekend, I’m hoping to get a new cell phone (yay!), wash our cars, and take Travis shopping for some new clothes and shoes (don’t you know he’s excited about that!). One of these weekends, I want to take a trip to either Trussville or the lake house to see my parents (and hopefully Jenn!)….I miss y’all!
