Went to Georgia this past weekend. Going back next weekend. Looks like the Grant family will be doing a lot of traveling this fall!
Friday, we met Mollie and rode with her to Jason’s house north of Atlanta where we spent the night. It was great to see Jason for the first time since May. We had fun just hanging out Saturday, and that night we met Alisha, Tyler, Jeremy, David, Justin, and Lauren at Atlantic Station for supper and then went to the Braves game together. It was rainy off and on all day, but luckily the rain stopped by the time the game started. Overall, it was a pretty boring game. The Braves lost 2-1, and apparently this year they are 42-16 when playing at home, so we just got unlucky I guess. We spent Saturday night at Jason’s and went with him to church at Roswell before coming home Sunday afternoon. Elijah and Leisha were at church, and we got to meet baby McKenna for the first time! She’s a cutie! :)
Today, I officially accepted a part-time position at the hospital. It’s in the same area that I’ve been working (pre-op), so it’s basically just a change in status. Now I can get employer matching in my 401K and earned time off (ETO) that I couldn’t get while working PRN. It’s going to be 24 hours a week, but some weeks it may be around 28 hours depending on how busy we are. It was tough to decide between going part time or staying PRN, so I hope I made the right choice. This will give me (hopefully) a more consistent schedule, but it’s not as flexible as being PRN. Most weeks, I will work Mondays and Tuesdays from noon to about 7 PM and Fridays from 6 AM to 6 PM.
Next Thursday through Saturday is our trip to Ellijay, GA with Ashley and Seth. We are staying at a bed and breakfast there, and we are really looking forward to it. It got a lot of good reviews online, so I hope it will be a nice place to stay. It’ll be good to see Ashley and Seth for the first time since May also!
This weekend we will actually be staying in town (shocker!). I’m looking forward to just taking it easy around the house :)
Thought of the day: ” Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
~ 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
We have so much to thank God for every day!
