This year, for the 4th of July, we spent the long weekend with my parents at Smith Lake. It had been a while since we’d been there for the 4th (apparently 3 years), so it was good to be there again for the holiday. We went Friday after I got off work and stayed until Monday afternoon. We were pretty much bums the whole time…ate some GREAT food, went on a pontoon ride, swam, made homemade ice cream, etc. It was a really fun weekend! Here are some pictures that I took from my camera. Dad has some better ones on his camera, but I haven’t gotten those from him yet…

Here comes Miss Bo ready for the boat ride! |
Bo was the sea captain for the afternoon… |

Poor Bo! |
She finally came out again to be social! |
But then she had to hide again later… |

When we got home Monday night, we had just enough time to eat supper and get ready to watch fireworks. We weren’t planning to go to Bridge Street, so we ended up just sitting in our backyard and watching the neighbors’ fireworks. It seemed like everyone but us was shooting them!! It was crazy, and they were big fireworks too! We’ll have to remember that for next year…
Hope you had a safe and fun 4th too! :)
