Life is about to get really busy around the Grant house for the next month. What all do we have going on? Music class on Wednesdays (Brooklyn and me). Brooklyn’s swim lessons start tonight and go for the next 3 weeks. A weekend gospel meeting this Friday through Sunday. Dentist appointment. Baby shower for a friend at work. Brooklyn TURNS TWO! Late nights at work for Travis coming up. Daddy daycare begins–Travis babysits Brooklyn AND Carter next Friday for the first time. Travis is teaching the junior high class at church (started Sunday). Brooklyn’s 2 year checkup. And I start going to the OB every 2 weeks starting tomorrow. And somewhere in there with all of our “free” time, we are hoping to get Brooklyn’s big girl room all ready for her.
Whew. If the ol’ blog gets neglected between now and March, you’ll know why!
With all of that going on, I decided for my sanity’s sake NOT to throw Brooklyn a big birthday party this year. It would just be too much on my plate, and she won’t know the difference anyway :) Maybe if I wasn’t pregnant and not sleeping well, I might feel otherwise…but I don’t feel too bad about it. We are still planning to do family celebrations with both of our families, but it will be really simple. If I’m feeling really festive, there may be Doc McStuffins or Mickey Mouse decorations…haha ;) We’ll see! There will definitely be cake though. Birthdays without cake are just sad!
Better run! This sweet girl just woke up from her nap, and there’s laundry to be folded/toys to pick up before we eat supper and head to her very first swim lesson! 4D ultrasound tomorrow morning…hopefully I will have time to post some pictures very soon! :)
