Kids’ Artwork: First Half of 2024

I almost forgot to share pictures of the girls’ artwork from January to June 2024. Better late than never, here are some of my favorites:

Brooklyn:

Brooklyn made some really neat things with her 3D pen…including a bouquet of flowers, our cat Gabby, and a slice of watermelon.

Brooklyn drew this for an Arbor Day poster contest that her science teacher had her class participate in.

Mill Creek allows the 5th graders to submit artwork centered on a specific theme to be considered for the yearbook cover. This year’s theme was “Game On”. I thought Brooklyn’s submission was so creative considering Mill Creek’s mascot is a Maverick. Her artwork wasn’t chosen for the yearbook, but we were still incredibly proud of how hard she worked on it!

I liked this happy watermelon :)

Brooklyn drew this picture of Jenn and Chandler’s dogs, Walter and Champ :)

This was the “placemat” that Brooklyn made in art class at school.

Brooklyn sketched this picture for Abigail :)

Brooklyn wove this house in art class using recycled materials as part of an Earth Day lesson.

Savannah:

I loved this basketball drawing that Savannah did!

This looks like a fun hotel with a waterslide coming from one of the top floors ;)

Savannah learned how to make paper “mola” art at school and made a couple more at home.

I think this is a drawing of her stuffed animal :)

Loved this whale!

A colorful castle

Pretty winter scene

Cutest tiger!

Savannah made this for me for Mother’s Day :) So sweet!

A jellyfish!

Abigail:

Here are some animal pictures that Abigail has drawn or colored :)

Our cat, Gabby–nicknamed “Woo Woo”, had to be put to sleep in January 2024, and Abigail drew or wrote several sweet (and heart-breaking) things for her afterward.

Lots of pictures of people :)

I liked her note on this one: “To Mommy and Daddy. You are moms and dads all the time. God is going to save us all the time.” :)

She drew lots of sweet pictures telling us how much she loves us!

I think Abigail made all of these in art class at school…

A birthday party :)

Abigail made this purse for me out of paper :)

I think this is Earth, Mars, and some stars :)

This is a picture of the girls swimming at Paw and Rae Rae’s lake house :)

Elsa, of course!

Can you tell this is a mermaid? (Maybe Ariel?)

Saved my favorite family picture for last!!
