I’ve been dying to finish our dining room chairs so that I could share the “before and after” pictures, but we’re not quite there yet. They’re all painted, distressed, and waxed, and 4 out of the 8 have been recovered with new fabric. So, we’re getting close! I’m going to wait and post more pictures until all of them are finished and in place. Let me just say that I had no idea how involved this would be when I started, but it’s going to be totally worth it because it really brightens up the dining room. I’m so excited!
Can’t wait to show you more pictures!
That project has been taking up most of my free time lately, but here are a few other pictures from the last couple of weeks when I haven’t been working on those chairs…
A couple of weekends ago, Mom and Dad volunteered to watch Brooklyn so we could go to the Tennessee game. It was nice to be back in Tuscaloosa after a whole year away!
Brooklyn still wore houndstooth even though she didn’t go to t-town with us :)
Jenn and Chandler were at the game too, and their seats ended up being 2 rows behind us in the same section. Funny coincidence! Chandler proposed to Jenn a couple of days before the game, so this was the first time we saw them since they got engaged. So exciting! They are getting married next summer :)
Back on the homefront, you may have seen this picture on Facebook already. Brooklyn has decided to be really “helpful” lately, and this particular day, she decided to help me feed her by knocking the spoon out of my hand. Banana went everywhere!
She wanted to be in a picture with the newly painted chairs, so here you go :)
Helping me cook supper!
She is obsessed with my purse, and this morning I looked over, and she was dragging it around the floor like this. How many almost-9-month-olds know how to carry a purse?? Haha…
She is also enjoying the cloth books that Cici got her…they’re great for chewing and reading :)
I guess that’s all for now. Hope you’re having a great week!!
