Brooklyn’s Artwork – Last Half of 2018

Brooklyn is still churning out artwork like you wouldn’t believe. If I’m not careful to go through it every couple of weeks, it will pile up in a hurry. I like to take pictures of my favorites, save a few of the very best in a binder, and then toss the rest in the recycling bin (when Brooklyn isn’t looking…ha!). Here are some of my favorites from the last half of 2018:

I liked this picture of a fruit tree…one that can grow apples, oranges, grapes, and blueberries all at the same time! :)

Rainbows continue to appear in a lot of Brooklyn’s art…

All sorts of weather in this one – sun, rain, snow, and another rainbow!

A slide and a giant flower :)

Brooklyn says this one is a picture of someone walking to their house :)

A rainbow dog, a cat, a regular dog, and Carter (in blue)

I loved this happy flower!

Brooklyn, Mommy, and Savannah

Brooklyn eating some cookies :)

Brooklyn drew this picture for the painting crew that painted our house back in August. I loved how each painter had a different color in their paint bucket…very creative!

Rae Rae and Brooklyn sitting on chairs at the beach

Brooklyn having a picnic…she says the blue thing is a big cake!

This one is supposed to be Lighting McQueen racing the other cars from the movie Cars.

A scarecrow!

Brooklyn also still loves to draw Lion King pictures…this is Simba, Mufasa, and Nala :)

Colorful leaves falling from a tree :)

Brooklyn says this is a picture of a “cat party”?

Our family :) I’m loving Daddy’s purple hair!

Trick-or-treating at night!

Back in September, Brooklyn drew a bunch of pictures for her teacher, Mrs. Patterson. This one says: “Dear Mrs. Patterson – I love you so much, even better than a flamingo. Love, Brooklyn” Haha! You can’t make this stuff up! (I also liked the horse she drew.) I stapled this page on front, and the rest of the pictures were…

a dragon and a bat,

a bird, owl, and a knight,

a house and a sun,

a city,

a rabbit,

and a dog! She drew all these using one of her step-by-step drawing books as a guide. I was blown away by how well she did!

This is supposed to be a picture of a wedding :)

Brooklyn says this is a candy cane with a face ;)

Gabby and Brooklyn :)

Gabby and Felix

I loved this apple!

Brooklyn going fishing :)

She called this one “Rainbow World”

This one must have been drawn around Thanksgiving…the turkey is saying, “Ahhhhh gobble gobble” as someone is trying to eat him…haha!

According to Brooklyn, the rainbow is going to eat the flowers (they are saying “ahhhh!”)

Halloween picture – a pumpkin, ghost, spider, etc.

Brooklyn wrote the names of our family all by herself…I liked how she added “Wooooo” at the end (Woo Woo is our cat’s nickname…don’t ask!).

Picture of a guy eating popcorn :)

Brooklyn going to a big city

“Happy birthday, Mommy” – this was Brooklyn’s birthday card for me – a picture of popcorn!

Clifford!

This is supposed to be a picture of Brooklyn collecting things on a hike with Paw; there is a weeping willow tree in their neighborhood, so that’s why she drew the tree like that :)

I think this is supposed to be Noah’s ark…with a happy balloon! :)

Brooklyn says this is a pink dolphin…

Scar (from Lion King)

Another Lion King picture

Zoo animals…giraffe, tiger, lion, zebra, butterfly, and bird! :)

I don’t know why, but I think this is one of my favorite pictures she’s drawn. I just love how cute this giraffe is with his super long neck! :)

Mommy dog and some cats

I also wanted to include a few pictures that Savannah drew. She is starting to try to write some letters (M and E).

These are all animals with lots of legs…haha!

I loved this lion that Savannah drew! She is obviously watching Brooklyn…you can tell from the red mane :)

That’s brings us up to date with artwork through 2018. I’ve already got a bunch of pictures from this year to share, so I will try to do that in the next couple of months. I love having these posts to look back on! Artwork made by your kids is so priceless, and this is a good way to “save” my favorites! :)
