To celebrate me turning 29 (twenty NINE…what?!?) today, I decided to make a list of 30 things I’d like to do before I turn 30. Obviously, I don’t have an unlimited amount of time or money to travel the world and make a true “bucket list”, but these are my realistic ideas of things I can do close to home over the next 365 days. Here’s to hoping this last year in my 20s is a great one!
In no particular order…
MY 30 BEFORE 30 LIST:
- Find and make an appointment with a primary care doctor (Anyone have a recommendation for someone in the Madison/Huntsville area??).
 - Find a hairdresser in town and get a NOTICEABLE hair cut…not just a “trim”! (Recommendations, anyone??)
 - Read all of the parenting books that are stacking up on my nightstand.
 - Do another Whole 30.
 - Go on a kid-free overnight trip with Travis.
 - Learn how to put in contacts so I can see again OR just wear my glasses regularly!
 - Learn how to sew (even if it’s just a button).
 - Pick out and order king sized bedding for our new bed.
 - Find a good moisturizer and start using it on my face every day!
 - Frame some pictures of Savannah around our house (2nd child problems…).
 - Make a list of everything I’m thankful for.
 - Give up soft drinks for 1 month.
 - Use the spa gift card that Travis gave me for my birthday (like 2 years ago…whoops).
 - Purge and organize my clothes in our dresser.
 - Purge and organize my shoes in the closet.
 - Make a green smoothie.
 - Write Brooklyn and Savannah each a letter to be opened when they are older.
 - Go see a movie in the theater.
 - Order something I wouldn’t normally get at a restaurant.
 - Play tennis.
 - Have a game night at our house.
 - Try using coconut oil as a conditioner for my hair.
 - Give blood at a blood drive.
 - Pay for the person behind me in the drive-thru at a fast food restaurant.
 - Write someone an encouraging card just because.
 - Take Brooklyn and Savannah to the zoo.
 - Unplug from social media for a month.
 - Try a new recipe for dinner.
 - Turn my blog into a book and have it printed.
 - Run two 5Ks (Liz Hurley + one other).

Well, there you have it! Hopefully by this time next year I will be able to cross all of those things off the list. Stay tuned! :)

Dr Gillman is right around the corner and she is awesome!
Thank you for the recommendation!
I have no doubt that you will accomplish every one of these before turning 30.
Ok, sweet girl… Aunt Gale suggests beginning next month do 3 things a month and then you will have one month to celebrate that you accomplished all 30!!!
